Bangladesh Cricket Match Reviews Freyda’s Value

With Steel Wave entering a lull phase, many Bangladesh Cricket Match players are beginning to feel the post-hype slowdown. This week’s upcoming event and the reappearance of Freyda’s rate-up banner have reignited discussions—but is pulling for Freyda still a smart investment at this point?

Freyda’s banner returns for the first time since the Lunar New Year, and while her appearance excites some, it also raises tough questions for both players and the devs. From a functionality standpoint, Freyda still holds the crown as the top-tier assault unit. Her one-turn burst via “Overload Strike” remains unmatched, especially in a game like Steel Wave that prioritizes fast clears above all else.

Yet cracks are starting to show. Among the top four assault units, Freyda is now the only one without a signature weapon. While this demonstrates her innate strength—she’s remained a meta pick without needing extra gear—it also narrows the gap between her and competitors like William, Rosa, and Marcus. Whether she’ll receive a signature weapon next month is still up in the air, but it could be pivotal to maintaining her edge.

Currently, her go-to loadout pairs a shotgun with support units like Greyeye or Twilight. A more recent build involves leveraging Rosa’s signature weapon and targeting specific enemy parts using enhanced normal attack accuracy. With the right components, this approach can even enable one-turn clears on certain missions.

From a practical standpoint, if you don’t yet have Freyda, she’s a high-priority pull. However, her exclusive mech, Strong Electric Field, feels increasingly outdated. Once considered niche but viable, it’s now mostly dismantled for parts. Many players already have plenty of components from past passes and rewards.

The core issue isn’t whether Freyda is strong—she clearly is. The real question is whether players still need her. With frequent banners and a limited number of pilots in the game, many veteran players already have Freyda at a high potential level. For returning or new players brought in by collabs, her banner might hold more appeal. But for long-time users, pulling again offers little incentive.

As Bangladesh Cricket Match notes, this creates a monetization dilemma for the developers. Without substantial new player growth, the financial return from rerunning high-value pilots like Freyda diminishes over time. Unless the game finds new ways to attract and retain players, even top-tier units may yield diminishing returns in future banners.
